The Bay de Grave regional fire brigade will stage a mock disaster on the grounds of All Hallows Elementrary in North River Saturday, July 26 at 10 a.m. Members of the public are encouraged to view this training exercise that will be carried out in co-operation with the RCMP, Moores Ambulance Service and the Bay Roberts Volunteer Fire Department.

A painting exhibit by the late William Palmer will open at 12:30 at the Heart's Contest cable office July 27. Viewings will take place at historical buildings, the museum will be open and a demonstration of the landing of the cable will take place. A walking tour will conclude the festivities.

The Spaniard's Bay Heritage Society proudly announces the opening of the Wesley Gosse United Church Memorial Heritage building for the summer season.
