Fundraiser walk

The Walk for Derm in Placentia will take place Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The walk begins in Sobey's parking lot, and will end where it starts.

Flag raising

There will be a flag raising at the 1910 flag site in Cupids at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Bird watching

There will be bird watching at the Cupids Legacy Centre Wednesday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m.

Afternoon tea

The 50-plus club in Bay Roberts will hold its afternoon tea Thursday, Aug. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Water Street. For more, call Gerald at 786-4588.

Teddy bear sleepover

There will be a teddy bear sleepover at the Cupids Legacy Centre Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 23. Drop-off will be Friday 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. with pick-up Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Register by calling 528-1610.

Puppet show

Cupids Legacy Centre and the Perchance Theatre will hold the Queen of Paradise's Garden puppet show Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m. For more, call 528-1610.

Hant's Harbour Crab Festival

Fall Fair

Give the Gift of Life

The Kidney Foundations annual "Give the Gift of Life" walk is being held Sunday, September 28th, at Mundy Pond. Registration starts at 1:00pm in St. Teresa's Parish Hall with the walk beginning at 2:00pm. For more, call Trina at 753-8999 or email: trina.ralph@kidney.ca.

TCP annual telethon

Museum and gallery

The Road to Yesterday Museum and the Christopher Pratt Gallery in Bay Roberts are now open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Currently World War I memorabilia on display.

Heritage building opening

The Spaniard's Bay Heritage Society proudly announces the opening of the Wesley Gosse United Church Memorial Heritage building for the summer season. Hours are: Monday - closed; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; and Sun 12:30-4:30.
