Details : NEWS ADVISORY BGEA launches Canada-wide “My Hope” ministry in Bay Roberts Local event equips pastors and Christian leaders to train congregations in evangelism for massive national outreach Calgary, Alberta – January 2013 – In 2002, My Hope with Billy Graham began as a ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to spread the good news of Jesus Christ across the globe. Ten years and 57 countries later, My Hope has come to Canada and Bay Roberts can play a part. Churches across the nation are being recruited to participate in this outreach. We invite pastors and key leaders to attend a training event in Bay Roberts for the My Hope ministry on: March 6 2:00 – 4:30pm Bethel Pentecostal Church Pastors and key leaders who wish to attend should contact Christy Nova to confirm your attendance at cnova@bgea.ca or 1.800.293.3717. “Responses from attending pastors have been overwhelmingly positive”, says David Macfarlane, Director of National Initiatives at BGEA of Canada (BGEAC). “The fact that My Hope was a success for churches in Europe is especially encouraging for churches in Canada.” These initial training sessions will share Billy Graham’s vision for My Hope, including testimonies from past participants and valuable resources to help pastors equip their congregations to participate in this national outreach. The vision of My Hope with Billy Graham is to engage Canadians in relational evangelism. Connecting with friends and family in one-on-one conversations over a meal in a My Hope participant’s home is a catalyst for sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. This outreach is partnered with a special program—available in TV, DVD and Internet format—that people can share to reinforce the message. The program will feature music, stories and Billy Graham’s presentation of the Gospel. My Hope with Billy Graham will culminate in November 2013, the month Billy Graham celebrates his 95th birthday.
