The Compass shines a spotlight this week on Msgr. Edward T. Bromley, the parish priest at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish in Carbonear.

Msgr. Bromley is marking a half-century in the priesthood.

A Mass of Thanksgiving will take place at St. Patrick's church on Wednesday, June 13 at 6 p.m., followed by an invitation only reception at the Knights of Columbus.

Msgr. Bromley pulled no punches during a candid and wide ranging interview with Compass senior editor Terry Roberts last week. Pick up a copy of the June 12 print edition to learn more about this young maverick from Conche who once considered a career in radio broadcasting.
