An attempted break-in at a pharmacy in Spaniard’s Bay and the theft of a travel trailer in Cupids are among the incidents that have caught police attention in the Trinity-Conception region in recent days.
Officers responded to an alarm at the Baccalieu Trail Pharmacy during the early hours of Saturday, Sept. 15.
A review of the security cameras revealed that someone had attempted a break-in.
Police say the face of the unknown suspect was covered with a mask. The suspect also wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black baseball hat.
It’s believed the suspect used what looked to be a pick-axe to pry open the door, but was likely scared off by the alarm.
Meanwhile, an investigation is ongoing into the theft of a white 2005 model Fleetwood Victory hard-top camper trailer.
The trailer was taken from the Burnt Head Loop area of Cupids during the early hours of Sept. 9. The camper has a large air conditioning unit attached to the roof.
The male suspect is described as being Caucasian, approximately five-feet, nine inches tall, and was wearing a red wind jacket. He was driving a dark coloured crew cab pickup, possibly a Ford F150 or Chevy Silverado.
Anyone with information on these crimes can contact the Trinity Conception RCMP at 596-5014, or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
