The RNC is continuing to investigate a structure fire in the area of the Backline in Goulds today.
At approximately 10 a.m., RNC patrol services and the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a fire in a livestock barn in the area of the Backline in Goulds.
As a result of the fire, the RNC was forced to close down The Backline and Doolings Line until 3:30 p.m.
There were no injuries reported and all the livestock were safely evacuated from the building. The structure was completely destroyed in the fire but the adjacent house remained untouched.
The RNC remains on scene as the investigation continues.

There are no injuries in a raging fire at a barn complex in the Goulds area of St. John's known as Beaver Brook Stables.
There were nine horses in the barn at the time the fire started, and all got out safely.

Members of the St. John's Reginal Fire Department are currently responding to a barn fire at Beaver Brook stables in the Goulds area of St. John's.
