The Hopedale RCMP is investigating a report from Air Labrador that one of the company’s aircrafts was involved in an accident at the Hopedale Airport Monday.

On Monday, while carrying out a Medevac flight for Labrador Grenfell Health, the aircraft was parked on the runway when a vehicle backed into it causing damage to a wing.

No one was injured as a result of the accident.

The aircraft remains grounded at the Hopedale Airport until maintenance crews are able to examine it and have the damage repaired so the aircraft can return to Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
