The Holyrood Detachment of the RCMP is advising drivers to proceed with caution on the Trans-Canada Highway and adjoining roads.

Black ice was formed by a drop in temperature, and road conditions are changing quickly, the RCMP said in a news release. Roads in the Avalon district are being serviced by ice management equipment.
