Consultations will be held in 13 communities in Newfoundland and Labrador as part of the statutory review of the province’s Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation system, it was announced today.
Topics for discussion are to include maximum compensable assessable earnings (claim benefit ceiling), financial sustainability and occupational disease.
“Providing avenues to promote dialogue and discussion, and to gather input from citizens is essential for developing sound policies and strategies,” said Keith Hutchings, Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement.
“These consultations will provide the people of Newfoundland and Labrador with the opportunity to contribute to the process.”
