The Bay St. George RCMP has released the identity of a man whose body was located on the shore of West Bay on the Port au Port Peninsula on March 13.

An autopsy has confirmed the body being duck hunter Richard Duffney, who was the subject of a weeklong search and rescue operation after he was reported missing on Jan. 28.

The cause of death was confirmed to be hypothermia resulting from immersion.
