Devon Burry, who had been reported missing on Monday after he failed to return home, was located Wednesday night near the Village Mall in St. John’s, according to RCMP.

Earlier in the day, police had received a Crimestopper Tip that Mr. Burry was in the St. John’s area, and after being located he was taken to the hospital for a check up and assessment.

On Monday, RCMP reported Mr. Devon left his Musgrave Harbour home for work, in Gander, but never arrived at work. When he never returned home after work that evening his parents became worried about him. His parents called his employer, and this was when they discovered he had not reported for work and he had been missing for an entire day. At that time, he was reported missing.

His vehicle was located at Foodland in Gander that evening, along with a note that he was wanting to get away.

This behaviour was out of character, according to RCMP, as he has never displayed this behaviour previously nor had he mentioned wanting to get away previously.

Gander RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating this young man.
