Marijuana seized from Harbour Grace home

A 52-year-old man from Harbour Grace is facing a charge of possessing marijuana after the drug was seized from his home early this morning.

Trinity Conception RCMP said officers found and seized the drug during a search of a home on Mt Pleasant Street in Harbour Grace.

The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on April 16. An investigation into the matter is continuing.

Calm, when you say "face the storms of life like a real man", I assume you're speaking from the position of an absolute teetotaler, that you yourself completely abstain from consuming alcohol even if only once or twice a year on special occasions like, say, your birthday, anniversary, Christmas? No? Didn't think so. How is anything this guy choses to do behind closed doors, in the privacy of his own home, any of your concern? Of what threat or bother is he to you? The prohibition of marijuana and the promotion of alcohol is one massive social, legal, medical and political hypocrisy I hope I live long enough to see end.

What kind of BS is this?!?! A 52 year old man, charged with POSSESSION?!?! So what, cops are going door-to-door now, searching people's HOMES looking for small amounts of weed? Now that's taking a bite out of crime- boy, do I feel safer! Rediculous. I hope they had probable cause and an iron-clad warrant to search for said contraband. Good luck getting those charges to stick in court.

  Lmao seriously though. I hope it was worth tax money to observe/go after the guy he better have had guns and crack. Because the "drugs" they got him with is hardly worth going after fkin idiots. Poor ol guy probably needs a bit of weed .... Who don't ? Things would run alot better if a select few got stoned lol
