Trinity Conception RCMP arrested a 62-year-old man from Western Bay this morning after seizing 40 marijuana plants from a home on South Side Road in that community.

The RCMP said the plants were in various stages of growth. Fertilizer and lighting equipment were also seized from the home.

The man is facing a charge of production of cannabis marijuana. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace provincial court on April 16.
