No charges anticipated in turr hunter shooting death: RCMP

A 63-year-old man from Hillview died Monday while turr hunting after his hunting buddy lost his balance which caused his shotgun to discharge striking the victim.

Lloyd Chesley Brown has been identified as the deceased.

The accident occurred near Old Bonaventure on the Bonavista Peninsula.

Bonavista RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, however, no charges are anticipated.

    This is heartbreaking. Mr. Brown's buddy must be absolutely devastated, but, sir, it was an ACCIDENT. Please don't be too hard on yourself. Deepest condolences to you, his family, and friends. God bless you all.
