The west-bound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway, in the area east of the Holyrood Access, have been fully re-opened to traffic.
The RCMP advises there is still quite a bit of drifting snow and slush on the roads. Drive cautiously according to the conditions, police advise.

The RCMP say the TCH east of Holyrood Access is still down to one west-bound lane, but should be re-opened fully in about an hour.
The RCMP also say there is a wind warning in effect and drifting and white out conditions are persisting.

The TCH west-bound lane, east of Holyrood Access is now fully closed to allow removal of the tractor trailer blocking one lane.
The west-bound lane is expected to be closed for about two hours.

The west-bound lane of the Trans Canada Highway, east of the Holyrood access, is down to one lane due to a tractor trailer blocking the roadway.
In about one hour, the west-bound lane will be closed at this location to facilitate the removal of the truck. Estimated time of closure will be about two hours, RCMP.

The RCMP is advising that a tractor trailer has jack-knifed across the road on the Trans Canada Highway, east of the Holyrood Access Road.
The west-bound lane is blocked at the time.
Members of the Avalon East District RCMP, along with emergency personnel, are responding.
The RCMP has also issued an advisory to the motoring public on the Avalon Peninsula that due to the high winds, there may be drifting and white out conditions in various locations on the Avalon.
The RCMP advises motorists to drive with caution.
At that time traffic will be re-routed down the Holyrood Access road.
Also, please be advised that there is a wind warning in effect and drifting and white out conditions may persist.
