The Holyrood RCMP is continuing to investigate a structure fire they believe to be suspicious in Avondale Monday night and early this morning.
On Monday evening the Holyrood RCMP and Avondale Fire Department were called to a report of a fire in the community. The fire was at a building that was once an apartment complex but, as of late, was used as a storage facility.
The fire was finally contained by 11:30 p.m. but flared up again about 2 a.m. today. The fire department was called back and dealt with flare-ups throughout the night.
There were no injuries.
A fire investigator is at the scene today.
