A Carbonear man will have three more weeks to wait before learning when his sentencing will continue.
Michael Brian Bowman, 26, will next have his case heard at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 at provincial court in Harbour Grace.
Peter Ralph, Bowmn's lawyer, is still on sick leave.
The defense was supposed to have filed the application June 14, while the Crown would have until July 3 to review the application.
Ralph had been pushing for the mandatory minimum sentence of four years for his client's charges, which include the following:
° use of a firearm in committing a robbery;
° being disguised with intent;
° pointing a firearm;
° and possessing a weapon or imitation for a dangerous purpose;
Bowman was not present in the court room.
Bowman has pleaded guilty to the Aug. 20, 2012 armed robbery of a pharmacy in South River.
