Harbour Grace Mayor Terry Barnes confirms the stadium will go ahead in Harbour Grace.
Concerns have been discussed throughout the town, questioning if the stadium will still be built now that Jerome Kennedy has stepped down as MHA for the district.
“We just want to reassure residents that there will still be a new stadium built in Harbour Grace,” Barnes explains. “This has not stopped.”
Barnes also confirms the next stage of the development has begun.
“There were six companies that are capable of building the stadium that applied with their criteria,” he continues. “Tomorrow they will be narrowed down to three and those three will then have 30 days to submit a cost and a design for the stadium.”
