A Makinsons man connected to a series of break and enters on Oct. 7 will have a bail hearing on Nov. 4.
John Giles, 37, was arrested on Oct. 15 and charged with the break ins of four post offices along Route 80.
Sometime between the evening of Oct. 6 and the morning of Oct. 7, Giles is accused of breaking into post offices in Winterton, Heart’s Content, Green’s Harbour and New Harbour.
Police have also linked him to a similar break-in at a post office in Garden’s Cove on Sept. 17.
The suspect was linked to the crimes after stolen cheques were deposited at financial institutions in the region.
Giles is charged with five counts of breaking and entering and committing offence, eight counts of possessing property obtained by crime and six counts of uttering a forged document.
Giles remains in custody, and will appear for his hearing at 1:30 p.m. at provincial court in Harbour Grace.
