Perpetrator still at large

Police say a home invasion case in Carbonear on Nov. 25 remains its highest priority.

Members of the RCMP Forensic Investigation Service and a police service dog search an area of Crowdy Street in Carbonear on Nov. 26 for evidence relating to a home invasion on the street on Monday.

"It very much remains at the forefront," said a spokesman for the RCMP.

A search of the area of Crowdy Street where the incident took place on Nov. 26 by the forensic investigation service and a police service dog yielded some results.

"We are in the process of dealing with the forensic evidence that we've gathered," said the spokesman.

Police also conducted a street canvas on the evening of Nov. 26.

"Certain witnesses have come forward," he said. "We are still in the process of interviewing witnesses and things of that nature."

Police have still not identified a suspect in the case
