Eastern Health has announced elective surgeries will resume at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday (Jan. 7).
The announcement comes after the organization had cancelled those services for Jan. 6 because of bad weather and power outages.
Elective surgeries have also been resumed at the Dr. G.B. Cross Hospital in Clarenville and the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
Although emergency surgeries continued, surgical services are now back to normal at all acute care sites.
Walk-in X-rays services for residents in the Clarenville region will not be available on Jan. 7.
There may still be interruptions in other services for which people have appointments and those affected are being contacted by Eastern Health to advise of any cancellations.
If an individual has not been contacted, it can be assume the appointment is going ahead.
