Woman charged with driving while impaired by drug

A 33-year-old woman was charged Tuesday night in St. John's with driving while being impaired by drug.


The RNC says that at 10 p.m., a concerned citizen called police concerning a female driver at Shoppers Drug Mart on Torbay Road. 

RNC officers arrested and charged the woman, and she was later released to appear in court at a future date.

In another incident Tuesday, a 31-year-old man was charged with flight from police and held in custody due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The man's vehicle was seized and he was issued three traffic tickets, as well.

    Impaired by drug? Was she impaired by A drug or by drugs (plural)?

    I am really happy to hear that our Police force are enforcing this law. Impairement is impairement, and can cause injury or death, regardless of the source.
