Students, teacher treated by paramedics

Fourteen students and one teacher at Bishop’s College High School in St. John’s were treated by paramedics today after one student discharged animal repellant in a classroom.

The RNC responded to the scene about 12:20 p.m. to a weapons complaint.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The RNC notes that while it is not illegal to possess animal repellant, it is illegal to use it for any means other than that which it was intended or manufactured.
