St. George's area teens have court dates for possessing drugs at school

Two males were charged with possession of drugs from an incident on the grounds of Appalachia High School in St. George’s on Thursday morning.

Cpl. Lori Canning said it was at 9:27 a.m. that police received a report of possession of illegal drugs (marijuana) at the location.

Police attended and arrested a 15-year-old male resident of Mattis Point and an 18-year-old male resident of Stephenville Crossing for possession.

The Mattis Point resident was later released on a notice to appear in court on May 6 while the Crossing resident was released on a notice to appear in court April 28.
