Three teenagers — Chris Smith (left), Bradley Barrett (centre) and Kevin Saunders — enjoy a game of ice hockey on a pond in Spaniard's Bay.

It was minus 24 degrees Celsius with the windchill on Feb. 11, but that didn't stop a group of teenagers in Spaniard's Bay from lacing up their skates and playing a fun game of hockey on Third Pond off Veteran's Memorial Highway.

Chris Smith, Bradley Barrett and Kevin Saunders played on a small surface they cleared by hand with a shovel and set up two boots as a net.

Barrett is the only hockey player of the three, but Saunders joked he was Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

This was their second time on the pond this season. They didn't let the cold stop them from having a good time.
