DEER LAKE The Western Star may be closing its Deer Lake satellite office, but it will continue to provide the same in-depth coverage to the entire Humber Valley and Bonne Bay regions.
At the end of February, the office located on Main Street will close its doors at the satellite location for our Deer Lake reporter. Technology will allow us to provide the same coverage remotely.
“Our coverage plans have not changed and we will continue to be the leading source for news and information in the area,” said Western Star managing editor Troy Turner. “The only difference is that we won't have a storefront in town.”
The Western Star's Paul Hutchings will be based out of the main Corner Brook office on West Street and will continue to handle much of the coverage coming out of the area. He can be reached at 636-3534 or 634-4348 ext. 5, or via email at email@example.com.
“Moving out of our office is not a decision that was made lightly, I assure you,” Turner said. The office will close Feb. 26.
