RCMP not saying if weapon was used

The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Goose Bay is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect in a robbery that took place Feb. 18.

According to the RCMP, a man robbed a bartender at the Labrador Inn around 3:30 p.m. and then fled on foot towards Hamilton River Road.

The RCMP has described the suspect as five-feet-eight-inches tall with a medium build and greenish/blue eyes. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing black snow pants, a dark jacket, and a black ski mask.

RCMP Cpl. Rick Mills wouldn’t say whether or not a weapon was used in the course of the robbery. Mills went on to say the crime is still being investigated.

The RCMP is asking for anyone with information on the robbery to contact the Happy Valley-Goose Bay detachment at 709-896-3383 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
