Deer Lake RCMP are investigating break and entries into the Salvation Army churches in Deer Lake and Pasadena.

According to police, sometime between Feb. 20 and 22, culprits struck both churches.  At the Deer Lake Salvation Army church, a safe weighing about 200 pounds, containing several hundred dollars in cash, was stolen.  Around the same time, the Pasadena Salvation Army Church was broken into but it appears nothing was taken.

The investigations are continuing and  the RCMP is asking the public for assistance in both of these crimes by reporting known information directly to the Deer Lake RCMP detachment at 635-2173  or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 if you wish to remain anonymous.
