RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor have arrested a 19-year-old man following attempted break-ins on Patrick St. and Chatum Place this weekend. In a press release this afternoon, the RCMP say they received a call at around 7:15 on Saturday, March 1. When police arrived on the scene, the man was being restrained by local residents and ambulance attendants. The male was handcuffed and transported to hospital for cuts to his hands. According to the police, the man continued to resist restraints, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and/or other drugs. He remained in hospital overnight and was taken into police custody the following morning.
Dean David Langdon has been charged with two counts of Assault and one count of Breaking and Entering. He was held in custody and is appearing in provincial court again tomorrow, March 5.
