Man fined, banned from recreational fishing for life for netting salmon

Carson Tulk of Stoneville has been fined $6,000 and banned from recreational fishing for the rest of his life after being convicted of netting Atlantic salmon in inland waters.

He was also convicted of obstructing a fishery guardian.

Tulk was convicted Feb. 21 in provincial court at Gander.

Tulk is also prohibited from being within 50 metres of inland waters for five years.
