Truck driving up ski hill attracts RNC’s attention

A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with mischief over the weekend for reportedly driving a truck up a ski hill.

The incident happened shortly before midnight at Smokey Mountain Ski Club in Labrador City. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was told a truck was spotted attempting to drive up one of the ski runs.

Upon arrival, police found a truck stuck on one of the ski runs. The RNC said the accused was located at the ski hill, charged and released. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

    Well, it has been a long, cold winter, and I guess the snowpack felt pretty tight, and maybe the driver was, too, but I wasn't there. Sounded like a plan to me, tho' ! Hope he made most way to the top.... awesome!

    This could be interesting. A new summer spectator and participant sport that could add much revenue to off season ski hills.
