Man arrested after robbery with violence in Mount Pearl

A 24-year-old man will be appearing in court today in connection with what police describe as a robbery with violence in Mount Pearl.


According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, an officer was conducting a routine patrol in Mount Pearl around 12:50 p.m. Sunday when a man was observed running from a business and being chased by a security officer.

The constable apprehended the fleeing man who had just committed robbery with violence at the business. The man was also charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and breach of court orders.  He was held in custody at Her Majesty’s lockup until a court appearance.  There were no injuries.

    I think I saw this idiot run out of Walmart in Mount Pearl and run right into a moving vehicle. Heard he pulled a knife on an employee. Glad they caught him, hope they actually punish him!
