Laval High put on a show last night (April 16) as it closed out the 2014 run of its annual musical.

Some 60-70 students, along with a host of teachers, aided in the grand production of Land of Confusion, the 14th such show put on by the Placentia-based school.

From the moment the curtain opened, the musical had a big show feel. From the lights to the fog machine, everything seemed bigger.

Headed by teacher Barry Davis, students put in many months of preparation  and it show with some masterful performances both acting and musically.

Students displayed their skills on the guitar, keyboard, drum kit, accordian and even a harmonica.

The acting was sublime as the cast portrayed many figures throughout history from former United States president Richard Nixon and Neil Armstrong to embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

The packed house was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end and gave the crew a standing ovation at the conclusion.

The Compass was there and took these shots.
