The Placentia Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) is aiming to bring youth and seniors together with its second annual Placentia Bay Age-Friendly Seniors/Youth Fair and Exhibition June 10-11.
Being held at the Freshwater Community Centre, the fair aims to address the needs and concerns of both seniors and youth at every level.
The hope is to ensure the quality of life of both groups is being met in the region.
âOne role of the PACC is to connect seniors and their families on the Avalon with the many services and opportunities available and to find new ways to meet community needs by promoting healthy aging,â said Gerry Sullivan, president of the Placentia Area Chamber of Commerce.
The fair will feature an exhibition put off by varying businesses, displaying their goods to seniors and their families.
The PACC will also be bringing in a set of speakers, and delivering presentations on a variety of topics with relevant information.
âWe hope that actively bringing people together will motivate new ideas that make our communities a better place for all,â said Sullivan.
