It was a packed house at the Amalgamated Academy gymnasium on May 3 for the regional Hertiage Fair.

Students from schools in Green's Harbour, Upper Island Cove, Whitbourne, North River, Bay Roberts, Old Perlican, Spaniard's Bay, Winterton, Bay de Verde and Dildo took part in the two-day event at the Bay Roberts school.

There were a wide variety of projects showing off pieces of Newfoundland history, folklore, evolution of technology, amongst other exciting projects.

Newfoundland and Labrador Lt.-Gov. Frank F. Fagan and Port de Grave MHA Glenn Littlejohn were among the special guests who made the rounds meeting with students and remarking at the exceptional work done by all.

The Compass was there and grabbed these shots.
