Chia seed products may contain salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers not to eat various products containing chia seeds or sprouted chia seed powder because they may contain salmonella bacteria.

The recalling firms are Advantage Health Matters and Back 2 the Garden and the CFIA says the products have been distributed nationally.

The recalled products include Organic traditions brand ultimate superfood trail mix, sprouted chia and flax seed powder, dark chia seeds and sprouted chia seed powder.
