Moose removed from St. John's Airport area

Wildlife officers were called out Sunday night to remove a moose near St. John’s International Airport.

According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the moose was trapped in a fenced area after it crossed over Airport Road.

Because of its close proximity to the airport, wildlife officers tranquilized the animal and moved it to an area outside the city.
