A 26-year-old male from Harbour Grace is facing numerous charges after breaking a window at a residence in Victoria and assaulting police officers at 1:30 this morning (July 11).

Geoffrey Gerald Reid has been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of resisting arrest, two counts of uttering threats and one count of mischief.

When Trinity Conception RCMP officers responded to a call of a disturbance, they found Reid in an intoxicated state.

Two officers were assaulted — one was kicked — while making the arrest. Neither was hurt.

Sgt. Greg Hicks told The Compass the home where the window was broken was not Reid’s.

Reid will appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court later this afternoon.

This waste of resource broke into my sisters home. Left her terrorized and frightened for years. I hope they lock this jewel up for a while.. boy needs his lesson learned. Good riddence.
