The South Central Region of the Autism Society, Newfoundland and Labrador (ASNL), along with all other regions across the province, will be holding their Annual Motorcycle Ride for Autism in Grand Falls-Windsor this Saturday, Aug. 2.
Registration for the ride is at the Society’s local office, 7 High Street, at 9 a.m. with the ride beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Riders can also you can also pre-register online at www.rideforautism.ca or on July 31, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Autism office. Entry fee is $25 per bike.
This event is one of the Autism Society’s signature fundraising events throughout the year.
Participants will leave Grand Falls-Windsor and head to Lewisporte Junction, then on to Gander for a Bike Show for the kids, refreshments and much more. The riders will then head back, stopping at Lewisporte junction again, then on to Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp (depending on weather); where ASNL’s South Central Region’s Annual Hawaiian Camp will be taking place.
A poker run is being done throughout the ride route, with prizes to be won. That evening, beginning at 9 p.m., at the Curling Club in GFW, there will be a dance for all supporters with entertainment from DJ Groove.
