The Sir William Coaker Heritage Foundation will hold a craft demonstration allowing participants to create their own souvenirs on Monday, Aug. 4 from 1-4 p.m.

'Devotion' By Kelly Jane Bruton.

The demonstration will be held at the The Factory Interpretation Centre with Artisen Kelly Jane Bruton, who will teach about the amazing fossils found in Port Union and discover how they inspire Bruton’s artwork.

Attendees can make a special fossil pin as a souvenir of their visit to the Coaker Heritage site.

Demonstrations will be every 30 minutes and the workshop is free with regular site admission. Supplies are limited and will be used on a first-come, first-served basis.

Craft and art lovers will work alongside Bruton, who is a well-known Newfoundland artist, designer/collaborator for film, television and art educator who creates unique artistic creations.

She studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where she graduated with degrees in Fine Art and Art Education in 1991.
