Monday, Aug 12, was a beautiful day in Port-au-Choix for a clean up of Gargamelle Cove Beach.

Delphine (Atkins) Curtis and her niece Khloe Payne of Port-au-Choix were rewarded for their volunteering efforts at the cleanup when they found a $20 bill.

The town of Port-au-Choix along with the Recreation Coordinator initiated a clean up of Gargamelle Cove with the idea coming from some local citizens who took it upon themselves to clean up around the town.

Volunteers gathered around 9 a.m. and were given free gloves and garbage bags with the aim to take away the largest items and especially the blue bait bags littering the whole beach.

After the cleanup the town provided free hamburgers and hotdogs and bottled water. At Noon the group felt it was a great end to a productive day.
