Is there any end to the senseless tirades of Frank Evely towards the Clarke's Beach town council?

Is there any end to the senseless tirades of Frank Evely towards the Clarke's Beach town council?

His latest, "New Clarke's Beach council receives first broadside,” published online at , is nothing short of ridiculous.

New Clarke’s Beach council receives first broadside

Does Frank think for one minute that residents of Clarke's Beach spend one second of time thinking about him and his tireless efforts to stir up the pot? I think we are all more than a little tired of hearing about Frank's grudges.

For the record, I have known Frank (I feel familiar enough with him to call him by his first name in fact). I have supported him in the past, believed in him, admired his qualifications, and respect him and his family very much.

But, the gig is up. Want to be effective, Frank? Start by buttoning up. It is generally felt that you are a sore loser, having been defeated in your bid to re-enter council a few months ago.

Finally, why does this weekly newspaper give him so much ink? I think if one looks back at past issues his name is frequently in the letters section. All of them, basically, bashing the council in office.

Please, Frank, understand that we residents who just elected our well-balanced council does not care about your whining anymore. So give it up and give them a chance. It is easy to be an armchair critic.

Try St. John's, Frank. God knows the council and residents there need a distraction to help them get by as they face "real snowclearing problems" daily, brought on by the worst winter in about 20 years. The same winter that our council is trying to dig out from.

elected our well-balanced council .. What a joke!! What is well balanced about a Council full of family members and newbies. Betty Moore is running the show and the other 7 are basically her lackeys ... The devil you know is better than the devil you don't .. Let's see how this "new" improved Council works out. I fear Clarke's Beach is going to experience a lot more downs and hard times before we see any light.

Well said Mr. Westcott! As another resident of Clarke's Beach, I agree with you 100%. This new council has to be given a chance! The past negativity and bullying has to stop and we have to move forward with positive views! Fixing and repairing damage that was done over the past years will not be corrected overnight. They (the council) are doing a great job considering what they have to work with! Hats off to them........

Jason. Jason. It doesn't matter where I am.. the fact of the matter is I am (a) a concerned resident as are 95% of the others who live there. And (b) the criticism about Frank is warranted. I may be South but I keep in daily touch with events in our community and province via my computer and with Here & Now. My letter is much more than a complaint about snow addresses an atmosphere created by Frank that is only going to bring us back to the status of most dysfunctional town. Jason, please don't add to the problem, be part of the solution. This Council deserves all the support we can give them.
