As a frequent visitor and property owner for 10 years in Newfoundland, I wish to bring attention to the Town of Bay Roberts my concern about the garbage at Mad Rock.

letter to the editor

On our frequent visits to the site, I have collected garbage and placed it back in the open garbage cans only to see the wind and sea gulls remove it again and again.

I shared my observation two years ago to officials at the Mad Rock Cafe.

Still the refuse flies.

No alteration to try and retain and remove the rubbish appears to have occurred.

On October 2013, the can was full and excess was flying into the ocean and around. On May 13, the can was in the same state.

Had anything been done in-between?

Concerned. John.

It would be good to leave our children's children's clean beaches.

In regards to the letter from john in ont ,I would like to say that the officials at the mad rock café never talked to him about his concerns, or we would have told him where to go with his concerns.at the town council office.
