The Victoria Volunteer Fire Department has been displaying it's Angry Birds float at different parades throughout the region. This past weekend, the first stop was Harbour Grace on Saturday. Members who came to the parade are, from left, Bradley Parsons, Dennis Whyte, Kenneth Sommers, Terrilynn Layden and John Loch.

Looks like The Grinch stopped by the parade, but luckily it was to spread some Christmas Cheer. Harbour Grace resident Kenny hunt was the man behind the Grinch this year.

The large group of Harbour Grace Sparks, Brownies and Girl Guides took part in the parade dressed like Santa's Elves.

The 32 Beothic Sea Cadets of Harbour Grace were one of the first groups to parade through the street. While the band members got their instruments ready, the other cadets waited patiently on the sidelines, some were even wrapped in wrapping paper. They were, from left, Melissa Murphy, Ryan Combden, Ashley Karabelas, Monica Griffin, James Byrne, Kyle Hamilton and Devon.

The Trinity-Conception-Placentia chapter of the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador entered a float in this year's parade. The group proudly took part in the parade, wearing puzzle piece pants (the symbol for the group). They are, in no particular order, Jesslyn Harris, Alexander, Oliver and Joseph Harris, Noah George, Caleb Parsons, Aiden Mainville and Jeanette George.

The Flinstones float was one of the favourites of the day, bringing a nostalgic feeling to many in attendance. Those on the Civic Event committee's Bedrock float were Daniel Slade, Emily Butt, Kayla Pike, Cole Penney, Kyle Buttm Victoria Penney, Patsy Barnes and Down Butt.

The Harbour Grace Christmas Parade took place on Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning in front of town hall on Water Street. Hundreds of people lined the streets to get a glimpse of the29 different performers, floats and the big guy in red, himself. The following are some of the floats and organizations that took part the town's very successful parades.
