The Victoria Santa Claus parade Dec. 13 brought out some brave participants who faced the weather on one of the coldest days of the year. The Clarke family did just that. Mel (left), Kate (centre) and Jordan brought their float — Mater from the children’s movie Cars — to Persalvic Elementary parking lot where the parade began. The truck was donated to a car show by Clarke's Salvage this past summer to blow the motor.

The Town of Victoria, Conception Bay hosted its annual Santa Claus parade Dec. 14. Although few in numbers, the entries were high in spirits as they lined up in the Persalvic parking lot to begin the long journey through the town. The temperature was the coldest it has been this season, but that didn't stop cadets, families and local children from participating in the parade. Running vehicles lined Route 70, waiting to get a glimpse of the floats. The following are some snapshots of parade day.
