Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador has released the final schedule for the 2012 Herder Memorial Championship.

The final starts March 24, with game one having a 7:30 p.m. start time at Mile One Centre in St. John's.

Game two will be the following day, March 25, but it will be starting in the early afternoon as puck drops 2:00 p.m.

The series will then shift across the province to the west coast for games three, four and five at the Pepsi Centre in Corner Brook.

Game three will be Friday, March 30, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m.. Game four will follow the same pattern as game three with a 7:30 p.m. start time on March 31.

Game five falls on April Fools Day and will start at 2:00 p.m.

Should the championship series stretch to the final two games, it will again move back to St. John's.

The penultimate game will be Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m., while the final game will be Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The subject of the Herder final caused some controversy late last year after officials with the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts lobbied, unsuccessfully, to have the Herder final played at the Joe Byrne Memorial Arena in Grand Falls-Windsor should the Cataracts make it that far.

The move was shut down by HNL and the schedule stands as is.

The Newfoundland Senior Hockey League will be starting its semifinal series' this weekend with the Clarenville Caribous hosting the Conception Bay North CeeBee Stars Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. at the Clarenville Event Centre. The Cataracts and Corner Brook Royals meet in the other semifinal with game one getting underway 9:00 p.m. at the Joe Byrne Memorial Arena.
