The 200-plus students at Harbour Grace Primary joined their counterparts throughout much of the province on Thursday, Oct. 11 to celebrate Kids Eat Smart Week with a "Walk to Breakfast."

The theme for this year's celebration was "Good Eating = Good Thinking!"

The walk underscores the relationship between physical activity, nutrition and learning, and was an important fundraiser for individual Kids Eat Smart Clubs.

The Kids Eat Smart Club at Harbour Grace Primary — one of 100 in the province — is well established, and is directed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers and others.

Up to 100 students avail of a nutritious breakfast of toast, fruit, juice, milk and much more.
