Terry Ryan of the CeeBee Stars remains in hospital following a scary incident during Game 4 of the best-of-seven semifinal with the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Reports say Ryan suffered a punctured lung, a collapsed lung and a broken rib.

Compass reporter Nicholas Mercer is visiting with Ryan this morning at the Carbonear General Hospital, and will provide an update on the scrappy forward's condition as soon as it becomes available.

Meanwhile, the CeeBees now have a commanding 3-1 series lead over the heavily favoured Cataracts, and can secure a berth in the Herder Memorial Trophy final with a win on Friday, March 1 in Grand Falls-Windsor.

If necessary, Game 6 will be played in Harbour Grace on Saturday.

The Cats finished a staggering 27 points ahead of the CeeBees in the regular season standings.

However, the CeeBees have now won four of the last five meetings between the two teams, including a regular season encounter earlier this month.

Three of the four games in the series have now required overtime to decide a winner, with the CeeBees coming out on top each time.

Ray Dalton has become "Mr. Clutch" for the CeeBees, scoring the overtime winners in Game 3 and 4.
