The Cee Bees cruise through the Caribous zone in the first period of Saturday night's game. The Cee Bees skated to a 3-1 victory tonight at the Clarenville Events Centre.

It wasn't the greatest nights for Clarenville Caribous fans.

Tonight at the Clarenville Events Centre they watched as the visiting Conception Bay Cee Bees handed the home team a 3-1 loss.

The game started off on the right foot for the Carbous, with a goal by Ryan Desrosiers just two minutes into the game.

Two minutes later, however, former Caribou Mitch Bragg tied it up for the Cee Bees.

Jordan Escott put the Cee Bees ahead 2-1 early in the second period and by the end of the second the Conception Bay team was ahead 3-1.

The Caribous did manage to get the puck in the Cee Bees net midway through the second period, but the referee called the point because it was off a high stick.

The third period was scoreless and the Carbous had to cede defeat.

The two teams meet again tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Clarenville Events Centre.

For the first time since this league started, the Caribous can't just open the wallet and sign whomever. They now have to do their homework and draft players, or trade for them. Derek and Ivan don't know enough about the game for this to happen, which is evident in the last 5 games. Power will get them in shape, but thats it. Talent gets you so far, coaching wins as is seen in Grand Falls. Ceebees came in last year during the herder and swept us, because we lacked coaching. I won't be in to the CEC for a while after that effort saturday.
