Defeat Cee Bees 9-2 in Sunday outing

The Grand Falls-Windsor Senior Cataracts had another big win over the Cee Bee Stars today, scoring a 9-2 victory to hold on to first place in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey Leage.

Cam Fergus notched one goal and five assists in the match against the defending Herder champ

The first goal of the game came at the 4:30 mark of the first period by The Stars forward Matt Bragg. The Cats quickly responded with a pair of goals, with Luke Gallant and team captain Mike Brent recording the points.

The second period had a total of four goals with Doug O’Brian scoring the lone goal for the Cee Bees. The Cats scored three times with two goals from Rob Hennigar and a single marker from Andre Gill.

The Cats poured it on in the third period scoring four more goals. Cam Fergus, Greg Hoffe, Luke Gallant and Andrew Pearcey notched the points for the hometeam.

The Cats outshot net minder Roger Kennedy 41-21, giving A.J. Whiffen another victory.

The Cats next action home will against the Gander Flyers at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium next Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
